Gayle power gets him second century

Chris Gayle is making it count, batting as if each innings is his last one in international cricket. He was selected by the Royal Challengers Bangalore as a replacement for an injury and in the four games that have followed, he has hit two sizzling centuries and a quick-fire 40.

Gayle’s batting has left many with a serious danger of getting hit – the fielder, the non striker, the umpire and what the hell, even the fans in the stands.

On the other hand, the bowlers have been made to eat the humble pie and unless teams can come up with something drastic, things will continue to look bleak for the Bangalore opposition.

Bangalore, thanks to that blitzkrieg of an attack on the opposition won easily and will now look to win two of their remaining five games to enter the final four stage.

And the one team that will be heaving a sigh of disappointment would be the West Indian side – they did not select Gayle and now are struggling to get going
