Keam 2011:Option rearrangement from Wednesday

The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations has announced the proceedings for the next phase of allotment. According to this the option registration for new colleges and new courses and deletion and re-arrangement of existing options by students will be allowed from August 24 to August 26 on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in. The third phase of allotment to medical courses and second allotment to engineering courses will be made on August 30.
The window for remitting fee/additional fee at SBT braches will be from August 31 to September 2. Students should join the colleges allotted from August 31 to September 3. The principals of the respective colleges have to give the non-joining report to the CEE by the evening of September 6. The last date for cancelling allotment by students is September 13.
There are a total of seven new engineering colleges and nine new engineering courses included in the new allotment. Allotment to MBBS in Pariyaram and Kochi Co-operative Medical Colleges too will be made in this phase of allotment. However the 11 Self-Financing Medical Colleges are not included in the latest allotment.

Fee Structure in the Government Controlled SF Medical Colleges

The KNM management makes allotment to the management quota seats
a) BPL/Lower income/SEBC categories of students admitted to KNM and CMC can avail fee concession benefits as specified below : a) 7 candidates who are belonging to BPL/Lower income category allotted by the CEE to CMC can study at the fee rate of Rs 25000 and 10 candidates belonging to the above category allotted to KNM can study at the fee rate of Rs 23000. Rank/category will not be the criteria for selecting these candidates. SC/ST/OEC students who already enjoy fee benefit will not be considered for this concession.
b) 13 candidates who belong to the SEBC category allotted to CMC can study for Rs 37000 and 13 candidates who belong to the SEBC category allotted to KNM can study for Rs 44000. These candidates will be selected on the basis of rank. The fee benefits will be granted only after the closure of allotments to MBBS Course. Hence candidates allotted to CMC will have to remit the State Merit fee, Rs 87000 and those allotted to KNM, Rs 1,00,000 at the time of allotment. The CEE will refund the balance amount to the candidates who are eligible for fee benefits after the completion of allotment process.
The annual tuition fee fixed for the Government seats in the Private Self-financing Engineering colleges is Rs 60,000. The office notification issued on 05.08.2011 by the CEE's office in connection with the fee concession benefits will be applicable to new Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges included in the third phase of allotment. Candidates who received allotment in the third phase, but wish to cancel their allotment after remitting the required fee can do so by submitting the filled in proforma at the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations before 5 pm on 13.09.2011. The proforma for Cancellation of allotment is provided on the website www.cee-kerala.org. No cancellation is permissible to students allotted to Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges after 13.09.2011.
The allotment to the 75 Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges included in the Second phase will come to an end with the next phase of allotment (4th Phase). Candidates allotted to Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges as per the 4th allotment should compulsorily take admissions to these colleges. If they do not take admission, they are liable to be penalised as per clause 12.2.4(c) of Prospectus 2011. The higher options of candidates who are allotted to the 75 Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges in the 4th phase of allotment will be cancelled. Nevertheless, this is not applicable to the new colleges included in the 3rd phase of allotment. The notification regarding the fourth phase of allotment will be issued in due course.
